You Matter to Me Day is celebrated on October 7th. Many underestimate the importance of the holiday, but there are many more admirers! Simple words spoken from the heart can change the situation for the better. No matter what happens, there is only one chance to say: “I need you!”.
The holiday was formed in 2010. Its founder is Linda Jue. The idea arose not by chance: the girl survived an incident that touched her to the core. Linda had a good friend, he was her soul mate. One tragic day, she learned that he, along with his son, had been in a fatal accident. The girl experienced strong emotions. Especially clearly she realized that she had never shown her feelings to a friend. It’s terribly sad not to have time to say the most important thing.
Since then, Linda has been telling loved ones every day that they are needed and important. Death is the final station that each of us will visit in due time. It is important to open up to a person during his lifetime, to show that he is loved, because no one knows what can happen tomorrow …
We often ignore acquaintances, colleagues, relatives, lovers. We are not in the habit of saying how much we need them, and we often take them for granted. The date has a good purpose – to teach humanity to show feelings. Perhaps the holiday will turn someone’s life for the better!
Why is it important for a person to hear the phrase “I need you”:
- it’s just nice. Especially if someone important is talking;
- cheers up and makes you happier;
- makes you show feelings in response;
- eliminates longing and sadness.
How to celebrate
Celebrate the holiday with your family, ask your relatives how the day went, tell us about your impressions today. Feel free to say magic words – they tend to heal the soul. If your loved ones are far away, send them postcards, write tender words and wishes. Remember, if everyone creates love, then the whole world will get rid of evil!
