Wear a Dress Day is a holiday for all women who love dresses of different styles and colors. The holiday was created to encourage women to dress beautifully and have fun. Just wear your favorite dress and have a wonderful day!
History
The origin and initiators of this holiday are unknown. Wear a Dress Day has been since 2010. Women posted masses of photos on social networks, where they were depicted in dresses, using the hashtag #WearDressDay. They wanted to attract women’s attention to the fact that dresses are beautiful, stylish, and comfortable. A dress does not have to be tight. There are many styles in which you can feel very comfortable. Additionally, on hot summer days, a dress is the best kind of clothing to keep from getting too hot.
Dresses have come a long way, evolving into modern, comfortable outfits. Once, young ladies wore dresses with very tight corsets, many layers, rings, and volume, making movement very uncomfortable. Gradually, dresses became lighter and more comfortable. Gone were the tight corsets and layers at the bottom. Today, we have a choice of dozens of styles: A-line, boho, oversized, sheath dresses, and others. A woman can choose the right style, taking into account all her features. Dresses truly deserve attention. So why not celebrate Wear a Dress Day?
