National Laundry Day

This time of cleanliness and household duties we do not like to perform so much is called National Laundry Day and is celebrated on April 15. The air is filled with the pleasant aroma of clean, freshly washed bed linen.

The History

The first dryer was invented in 1800 by the French. The washing machine made life easier in 1904, but the name of its inventor is unknown, a blank spot in history. The laundry process became automated in 1938 by American J. Moore. Technological progress is embedded in making daily life easier, freeing time to do the things we like.

Fun Facts

The head of the well-known jeans brand Levi Strauss & Co advises us never to wash his company’s clothes to save water.

  1. The word laundry is formed from an ancient word in French, meaning person who does the washing.
  2. Sociologists found young people prefer using the laundry products their parents used.
  3. The holiday coincides with the Day of Tax Payment. Do not rush to launder money as members of criminal clans did, opening new laundries. Make sure there are no dollar bills in the clothes dropped into the washing machine.

It is reprehensible if dirty clothes have accumulated. Do your laundry today. Take advantage of the occasion, teach your child to use the washing machine, take care of clothing items and textile toys. Buy a new detergent or conditioner with a pleasant aroma.
