Alfred Hitchcock was born in the English town of Leytonstone in 1899 into a Catholic family. He later said that his childhood was very dull and unremarkable. His first steps into the film industry began with the creation of silent film cards, followed by the role of assistant director. Hitchcock’s creative nature allowed him to keep at it, and in 1925 he released his first feature film. From 1939 he lived in Hollywood and worked there. The films “Rebecca”, “Psycho” and many others tore the previously established framework in the cinema and impressed. The great director’s career lasted more than 60 years, during which time he gained an army of millions of fans and was recognized with many awards.
