National Business Women’s Day is celebrated on September 22 every year to show that women can do everything men can do, and in some cases, even better. The business world has not always recognized women. The American Business Women’s Association works on issues of gender equality in business.
History
According to statistics, almost 7 million women are officially employed in the United States today, and almost 8 million more are businesswomen. This was made possible by the efforts of four women who, many years ago, established the American Business Women’s Association. It happened at a time when women could not even afford to work full-time. The organization was registered on September 22, 1949, with a noble mission – to provide women with equal rights in work and business. The Association has brought together women entrepreneurs from different fields, exchanging experiences, helping each other, and defending their rights.
