The Indian national holiday is founded in honor of freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Parakram Diwas is annually on January 23rd. History
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was born in 1897. He studied at the Scottish Church College at the University of Calcutta, where he received a bachelor’s degree in philosophy. He then went to England but did not stay long and returned to his homeland.
Netaji entered politics and became a member of the Indian National Congress. A few years later, he led the All India Youth League, and from 1938 to 1939, he served as chairman of the INC.
During the Second World War, Netaji founded the National Army (Azad Hind Fauj), numbering more than 5,000 people.
The holiday is dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of the great politician. It was first on January 23, 2021. It was named Parakram Diwas, which means Day of Courage, because Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was distinguished by incredible courage and determination.

- At the solemn celebration of Parakram Diwas in 2021, the book “Letters of Netaji,” compiled from the politician’s personal archives, was presented.
- The Indian folk hero died from burns received in a car accident in 1945. There were many rumors surrounding his death, including one that claimed Netaji did not die but simply disappeared. The government officially confirmed his death in 2017, but this fact does not stop people from discussing conspiracies and secrets associated with the politician’s name.
