History

The prototype of the guard was created in 1636, then it included militias performing the functions of defending cities. The structure received its official status and name in 1903: Congress created a law on formation and prescribed the conditions for training and education. The Vietnam War was on: it was she who contributed to the appearance of the presidential decree on the support of the armed forces by the national guard.

Today, the structure is considered a reserve, although its fighters successfully perform tasks on a par with the army both inside and outside the country. Every year, 60 recruits, both men and women, are recorded in it. The service is full of combat training, even active soldiers from the army sign up for it.
