Over time, Frank experimented with various fruit juices and eventually named his creation the ‘popsicle’. He introduced this frozen dessert at a firemen’s ball in 1922, where it was met with great success. In 1923, Frank Epperson began selling popsicles, and by 1924, he had patented his invention.

It’s believed that the first National Grape Popsicle Day was celebrated in 2008, though the reason why grape was chosen remains unclear. Perhaps it’s due to its great taste and vibrant color.
