International Choreographers Day

International Choreographers Day celebrates the amazing professionals who teach us how to dance and feel the music! They are not deprived of talents and are in a hurry to share them with us – it remains only to listen to them carefully. Incredible energy, strength and power – it’s all about them!

History

The heritage of brilliant choreographers is one of the main sources for the study of art. They shared observations, memories, reflections and revealed important points that played a role for contemporaries. There are not as many published books as we would like, but each of them is a real rarity! Any professional would love to have them in their arsenal. Researchers believe that the lack of publications is caused by the habit of communicating information orally rather than in writing.

European treatises originated in the 15th century. This period was important in the history of the formation of dance – art was used during receptions, festivals, and often as a pleasant pastime. It is unequivocal that it appeared much earlier … Scientists have found evidence of existence dating back to 7000 BC, it is impossible to look back centuries even further.
