The World Day of Muslim Culture, Peace, Dialogue and Film was established in 2010. The initiative to create the holiday came from the writer Javed Mohammed, who lived in San Francisco. Through this day, he wanted to introduce the public to Muslim culture, showcasing its richness and unique achievements, rather than perceiving Muslims solely through the prism of religion.
