Paranormal Day is a holiday for all those who believe in the paranormal. On this day, people often choose to have a fun or very spooky experience.
History
The term “paranormal” first appeared in the 1920s, used to describe things that cannot be explained by science. UFOs, extraterrestrial beings, poltergeists, ghosts, spirits—do they exist? Scientists and researchers often say no, but many people believe otherwise. There are numerous films and books that explore the strangest, scariest, and most inexplicable stories.
Every year, people reflect on paranormal phenomena. Even skeptics don’t mind watching a fantasy film or reading about the supernatural.
How to take part
One of the best ways to celebrate is to gather with friends, prepare some snacks and drinks, and watch an interesting movie or discuss a paranormal-themed book. Some people prefer watching a horror movie alone in complete darkness, but we don’t recommend overdoing it—it may not be great for your nerves!
Other ways to celebrate:
- Start a flash mob on social media by sharing your favorite paranormal films, comments, or hosting group video conferences.
- Visit a themed quest or escape room.
- Organize a quiz night with friends.
- Compile and publish a list of recommended paranormal films and books on social media.
When is Paranormal Day in 2025?
