National Kids and Pets Day is an annual American holiday that is dedicated to children and animals at the same time! Generally, its main goal is to eradicate the problem of cruelty to animals. To show genuine love and care for them, the creator of the holiday decided to say about children – little people who do not yet know what anger, aggression, bullying, etc. The holiday is celebrated on April 26.
The purest form of love is the best thing in every human being. Animals become very attached to people, so we have no right to abuse them. To physically abuse them or keep them in horrible conditions. Various organizations around the world are actively working on the problem of animal cruelty, documenting such cases, rescuing abused cats, dogs, horses, etc. and working to punish people.
National Kids and Pets Day was created by Colleen Page. She has created many holidays devoted to animals. She used to work as an EMT, but today she is fully dedicated to raising and training animals, helping owners to get along with their pets. The holiday is also intended to teach children to love and not be afraid of animals.
- The best dog breeds for families with children are Poodles, Scottish Shepherds, Huskies, Corgis, Labradors, and Saint Bernards. They are non-aggressive, love to play and will be great protectors for your children.
- The first domesticated animals were dogs, which were originally used for hunting and home defense. Today there are about 400 breeds of dogs.
- If you don’t want to see your pet die of old age, get a turtle. Even the smallest breeds can live up to 100 years!
