History

We owe thanks to Charles Cretors, who invented and brought the popcorn machine to life in 1885. This event increased the popularity of the treat, which was offered at fairs and sporting events. During the Great Depression, it was consumed everywhere due to its low cost. Production slowed down at that time, and a serious crisis was felt in all industries. Along with popcorn machines, commercialization appeared, and subsequently, diverse devices were produced.

Surprisingly, researchers found traces of the dish in a cave located in New Mexico, and it has existed for about 5600 years! Two versions of its discovery are known. First, the Indians from North America first discovered the property of corn to explode and began to cook maize. The second version says that this happened in Mexico when the locals placed food on hot stones and received the finished product.
