Rapture Party Day is a worldwide holiday created in honor of the false prophecy of the end of the world. On this day, large-scale parties are held where people have fun and rejoice that life goes on. It is observed annually on May 21.
History
The story of Rapture Party Day begins in 2011. It was on May 21 of that year that the world was supposed to end. Such predictions have been known since the birth of Christianity but have always bypassed the general public. That all changed in 2001, when G. Camping, the host of a radio channel created by a family Christian organization, announced that doomsday would come in 2011, even naming the exact date.
After May 21, people were supposed to wait for five months during which Earth would face large-scale natural and man-made disasters, and epidemics would spread actively. However, nothing happened. The world continued its existence. Camping became a laughingstock, as did similar predictors, and people began throwing parties worldwide, celebrating the cancellation of the end of the world!
