National Food Day

National Food Day is on October 24th and is dedicated to delicious, healthy, and nutritious food that should be on everyone’s table! The goal is to teach people how to build the right diet, produce safe products, and farm competently. The quality of life directly depends on this!

History

National Food Day has been since 1975 and was created as an analogue of “Earth Day”. The founders are the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI), headed by microbiologist and chemist Ralph Nader. Initially, the institution carried out food control, checked standards, and talked about the benefits of safe products.

Over time, the scope of the organization expanded and new horizons opened up, such as checking alcohol, supervising restaurants, managing drug control, and studying trans fats that are part of fast food. Many people joined the movement and supported the organization in word and deed, helping to solve many problems. However, there are still new projects ahead!
