They protect society from emergencies; help to avoid causes hindered development of essential activity areas.

The History

Shift work became commonplace when Industrial Revolution began in Europe. With industry development more labor was required, there was need to work without breaks, including at night. Poor people trained to work in factories agreed to work at night, not demanded huge salaries for difficult conditions, bargain for owners. At 2000s third shift began to appear in schedule of office employees due to globalization of economic, information processes. Holiday appeared on new millennium’s threshold, founder was Jeff Corbett.

Third shift is paid at higher rate than day shift. Employers increase salary as percentage of salary or assign double amount.

  1. Those who love and used to staying awake at night cope with work most successfully. Activity is reduced during the day, increases in evening. They solve tasks, cope with responsibilities better, focus and concentrate effectively.
  2. Third shift workers sleep in morning/afternoon. If loved one is resting in bed until noon, do not judge, be patient. He performed labor feats during night, by evening he will be back in readiness.
  3. Night schedule requires compliance with conditions kept normal health. Necessary to take breaks, walk, spend time in fresh air getting charge of oxygen, positive effects of natural light, consume vitamins.
