History

National Report Medicare Fraud Day is celebrated annually on September 12th. It appeared in 2017 thanks to Hesch, LLC. Its founder is a lawyer who worked for many years in the Department of Justice, and represented the interests of whistleblowers. While working on a Medicare Fraud case, he created his website (www.ReportMedicareFraudDay.com) and wrote an e-book covering the issue of the embezzlement of public funds.

During the work on the reports, it was found the average loss of budget funds allocated to finance the insurance system is about 10%. The state allocates annually an amount close to 700 billion dollars. Consequently, approximately 70 billion dollars fall into the hands of fraudsters.
