National Innovation Day

On February 15, National Innovation Day is celebrated every year. Professional holiday of inventors and innovators and those who seek to improve, modernize, invent new technologies. In a word, the culprits of the celebration are creative people who show creativity in different spheres. Innovations allow society to develop and contribute to scientific and technological progress. Thanks to the improvement of technology, society is rapidly moving forward. Innovation fosters creative thinking.

History

This holiday was established at the Institute for the History of Science.  The initiative was first supported by the Society of the Chemical Industry. Since then, these two organizations annually think over the plan of events dedicated to National Innovation Day. The main task of the holiday is to attract people’s attention to those who are not just engaged in production, but are trying to go forward and constantly improve the existing achievements of science and technology.

This day not only congratulates modern innovators, but also honors those who have been engaged in innovation before. In memory of the great inventors, innovators, solemn events and conferences are held.
